Flat Fees:
Most of our services for Canadian patents are provided on a flat fee basis (ie. a fixed cost, provided to you in advance). With our model, we quote you a flat fee up front for a particular service and we live by it. Our clients love the certainty of knowing what the fees for Canadian patent applications will be, and we like the fact that we are incented to be efficient and effective (and not, as in the traditional model, rewarded for being slow and inefficient).

Government fees are changing.
The basic government fees for Canadian patent applications have increased by 25% and will increase annually from 2024. Ask us for details around Canadian Patent costs.
New fees are payable in Canada for such things as excess claims over 20 and extended examination (more than 3 examiner’s reports).
Government fees are much lower for applicants that are small entities than large (often less than 50%). Learn more about the Canadian test for small entity status here.
